BUMBERSHOOT! The full report w/ PIX!

Photo By: Sam Normington Please Please Please ...
Bumbershoot did not disappoint! If anything it gave me hope. Saturday kicked off with an appearance on Jimmy Pardo's Never Not Funny Podcast, an opening slot on the Garfunkel and Oats show and then BTR number 1 featuring JImmy Pardo and Donald Glover! Pardo is and has been one of my top 5 favorite people forever and his set, that covered everything form Motley Crue to Sarah Palin, was amazing. Closing out Day 1 was Glover's hilarious Bun B story and an inspired cover of Big Pimpin' by the Electrick SnoFlake featuring moi on bass. Day 2 was a highlight for me only because I told a story I hadn't told before, and sang the Smiths' Please, Please, Please... let's not take "sang" to literarily. It was worth the risk though, to tell the story of a friendship that without I might not have become the guy I am today. David O'Dohrety wowed everyone with the tale of getting his own song to 27 on the Irish charts and then performed the horrible (by his admission) song called ORANGE. But It was Chris Hardwick that had them screaming in their seats with his Sister Christian / Creep mash up! With Monaday's BTR 3 the march to rock Glory continued with the return of BTR favorite Marc Maron and the Debut of Tig Notaro who's song and story were about being confused as one of the Indigo Girls. I don't know if there is a more likable person on satge right now than Tig. All in all it was amazing weekend. To the Bumbershoot, BTR, Greg Behrendt , Ripped Like Jesus, Reigning Monarch and Walking The Room fans. Thank you for your kind words, your attendance, and all the candy. And special thanks to Sam Normington for letting me use all his photos! Continue Rocking.
