This past weekend I had the luxury of performing at the Improv behind the orange curtain in Irvine. It's been about 6 months since i did a whole hour and the shows went surprising well. One guy laughed so hard in the second show on Friday that he passed out and they brought in paramedics. For reals. However three girls were overheard saying in the bathroom " This sucks I thought he was gonna talk about relationships." The best part for me was watching that blowhard from Walking Th Room Dave Anthony do his standup which, like his persona on the podcast, is dark, confessional and ultimately hilarious. On Thursday and Friday my friend and Emmy award winning writer Karen Kilgariff blasted through 3 sets with closing her set with 3 of the funniest songs I've heard since the D. Hopefully she will put out a record soon cause she is one of the funniest people with skin and bangs.
